Community Bracelets

The Bracelets of Medicinal Mindfulness: A Community Acknowledgement of Commitment

Placing a bracelet begins a process of initiation. You are telling the Universe you’re ready to engage the next stage of who you are. Previous generations of psychedelic explorers were required to take the “great leap” into psychedelic transformation, but it is now possible to “step into” this transformation instead. At each stage, you will gain experience, knowledge and resilience to engage in the next initiatory experience. Each stage requires additional commitments. Each stage empowers us in new ways. These ways will be revealed to you by your Soul and Spirit.

The Intentions Meditation

Preparations for the journey require determined effort.
I dance between breath and cannabis, a caduceus of healing and awakening. I sit in silence as I witness transformation. I am of service.
I breathe in and pulse to the rhythms of the inner sanctuary.
I engage the waves of transmutation all around me.
I sit. I breathe. I am me.

White: Right Relationship

Preparations for the journey require determined effort.

  • Commitment: I pay attention to my relationship with all substances and commit to transitioning to responsible, intentional use. My life is a reflection of healthy medicine use practices.

  • General Requirements: White is a foundational requirement for Medicinal Mindfulness membership - the understanding and commitment to safe medicine use practices, and abstaining from certain substances. Substance fasts are strongly encouraged.

Green: Journeyer

I dance between breath and cannabis, a caduceus of healing and awakening.

  • Commitment: I commit to learning and practicing skill sets that will deepen my journeywork practice, develop resilience, wake me up and keep me safe.

  • General Requirements: This is someone who has had multiple intentional cannabis and breathwork experiences, has learned and practiced basic journeywork techniques and shown proficiency in these practices. A regular practice of both Conscious Cannabis and breathwork is highly recommended.

Red: Sitter

I sit in silence as I witness transformation. I am of service.

  • Commitment: I commit to being of service to others in transformational experiences while creating space for my own necessary inner process.

  • General Requirements: Completion of Psychedelic Sitters School, participation in Advanced Sitters School and ongoing participation in events as a sober sitter. Continued solo, group journeywork practice is strongly recommended.

Blue: Senior Sitter

I breathe in and pulse to the rhythms of the inner sanctuary.

  • Commitment: I am an advocate for responsible use and my life is an example of responsible use practices. I am deeply devoted to my own process and being of service to others in my community. I begin the process of becoming a teacher, facilitator and guide.

  • General Requirements: Continued participation in events as a Lead Sitter and the completion of at least one 4 month expedition as a red level sitter. Begin completing outside credential requirements (CPR/First Aid, etc). Begin to facilitate aspects of journeywork group experiences and to facilitate small group discussions and processes. Continued participation in Advanced Sitters School. Begin transitioning to solo experiences that are individually guided by an advanced MM Facilitator.

Purple: Assistant Facilitator

I engage the waves of transmutation all around me.

  • Commitment: I fully engage my transformational process of healing and awakening. I approach my work with beginner’s mind. I hold space for the miracles to happen. I am of service to the lead facilitators as they support the community and journeyers.

  • General Requirements: Continued participation in events as an Assistant Facilitator and the completion of at least one 4 month expedition as a blue level senior sitter. Facilitate Community Breathwork experiences. Facilitate parts of Conscious Cannabis Experiences. Begin becoming a guide in individual and small group experiences. Continue training by participating in guided solo work in advanced training seminars.

Black: Facilitator

I sit. I breathe. I am me.

  • Commitment: I take full responsibility for the experience of my life. I am an ally to spirit. I am actively engaged in transforming the world and myself.

  • General Requirements: Chosen by Spirit and completing the initiation it brings. Continued participation in events as a Facilitator and the completion of at least one 4 month expedition as a purple level assistant facilitator. Strongly recommended to get spiritual counsel before taking this commitment. Committing to a life of ongoing transformation and deep meaning for yourself and others. Black, as a symbol of mastery, contains all of the other colors.

How to put the bracelets on:

  1. State your commitment to a witness who will help you put your bracelet on. Make it meaningful.

  2. Cut the ribbon long so you can easily tie it.

  3. Person receiving bracelet puts two to three fingers parallel to wrist to create some slack in bracelet.

  4. Bracelet is double knotted, then superglued.

  5. Excess ribbon is cut off.

  6. Take a moment of silence to acknowledge commitment.

  7. Bring awareness to the changes happening in your life and engage them

Additional Community Bracelets

Turquoise

Turquoise bracelets are reserved for community members who have attended a Native American Church peyote ceremony with our community as a reminder to integrate the lessons provided by Spirit and to promote community cohesion.

Gold

Gold bracelets indicate an intention to work with and honor the divine masculine aspects of Self. Also symbolizes the Solar qualities of the work.

Silver

Silver bracelets indicate an intention to work with and honor the divine feminine aspects of Self. Also symbolizes the Lunar qualities of the work.

Yellow

Yellow bracelets indicate an intention of psychedelic activism, either to support the manifestation of psychedelic society, or to use the understandings and inspirations derived from psychedelics to support healing and global transformation in other activist movements.

Tying Bracelets Together

Some practitioners tie their bracelets together to represent commitment to specific intentions in the work. For example, I have tied the white and black bracelets together in 7 knots to symbolize the importance of intentional and safer use practices with personal responsibility, freedom and mastery.

Other Medicines

As other medicines become legal, and we begin to train with them and facilitate these experiences, bracelets, beads and other symbols will be incorporated to represent additional training and skill level.
