Mindfulness-based psychedelic therapy

The Center for Medicinal Mindfulness, based in Boulder, CO, is one of the first legal psychedelic therapy clinics in North America. We have led thousands of people through Cannabis-Assisted and Ketamine-Assisted Psychedelic Therapy sessions that have brought major breakthroughs in their lives.
In 2022, Colorado passed Proposition 122, legalizing the personal use of even more natural medicines such as psilocybin and DMT. Medicinal Mindfulness celebrates this historic moment in psychedelic history by offering support services to those engaged in personal use of these natural medicines. Our groundbreaking work helps people to heal trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief, and feelings of meaninglessness.
Since our founding in 2012, we have become an established leader in the emerging field of psychedelic therapy. Our vision is to heal and transform humanity and our shared ecology through education, guiding, and integration of safe, legal psychedelic practices.
We are also an intentional community of healers and activists that promotes safe psychedelic use for personal and global healing and transformation.
CANNABIS-ASSISTED PSYCHEDELIC THERAPY
Did you know that when high quality cannabis is used intentionally and skillfully, it is just as potent as other psychedelic medicines in therapeutic settings? Our clients commonly report experiences that are as potent and psychedelic as MDMA, Psilocybin, Ayahuasca and even DMT. When cannabis is used in an intentional therapeutic or ceremonial setting, the experience becomes a powerful gateway to transformation, for ourselves and for society.
“I’m receiving a blessing, with a side of healing.” – Client

NATURAL MEDICINE SUPPORT SERVICES
Colorado voters recently legalized the personal use of certain natural medicines such as psilocybin mushrooms. Center for Medicinal Mindfulness’ personal use services include bona fide harm reduction, therapy, and support services. We also offer beneficial community-based use and healing services to those individuals interested in using natural medicines in a group or community setting.
We are working to make these services accessible and available to as many people as possible as soon as possible.

KETAMINE-ASSISTED PSYCHEDELIC THERAPY
Ketamine is a safe, legal, and highly effective psychedelic medicine used to treat depression, trauma and anxiety. It’s a dissociative anesthetic that, when used in low doses, produces psychedelic and euphoric states. The medicine brings forth subconscious material that, when integrated with the help of a therapist, can be understood and healed.

What People Are Saying
“This retreat—the four days with ketamine and cannabis—was life-changing for me. I was able to find clarity in each of the areas I set intentions, but the clarity is far richer, far more magnificent, far more courageous than what my mind could imagine prior to the retreat. I am grateful beyond words for Alison’s guidance, insight and skillset.” -Client

“I have a new lease on life thanks to this process. I had assumed I would just have to live like I was. That there was no relief, but the Ketamine Intensives changed my life.” – Client
“It was a deeply healing experience and I feel like it greatly accelerated my progress in traditional psychotherapy in ways that are difficult to verbalize. I feel a sense of peace and release from trauma that I think would have been difficult to arrive at from just talking.” – Client
“Daniel nailed it. I got everything I needed and more. I don’t know what a “normal” experience looks like, but I felt that everything was very detailed to my specific circumstances. It wasn’t canned, it wasn’t formulaic. It was well-designed, thoughtful, and as a result, enormously therapeutic. I don’t think I know how transformative it will be months from now, but suffice to say what I’ve seen this far has exceeded my greatest hopes.” – Client
“I feel as though I opened up a doorway that I need to continue work with. I am glad the doorway is open and I look forward to exploring more to continue the healing, thank you.” – Client
“I truly feel like Angela was born to do this. She made me feel so at ease and safe, I was fully prepared for the experience and she helped me to understand what I experienced. I am recommending Angela and Medicinal Mindfulness to all my friends.” – Client
“I see Kristen regularly for ongoing sessions, and have a good rapport with her. I felt the cannabis sessions really enhanced my journey. I would like to participate in your cannabis circles in the future to continue to learn and benefit from both cannabis and Kristen’s guidance.” – Client
“Jahmaya more kind hearted and supportive than we could’ve ever asked for.” – Client
“After numerous weeklong medicine retreats ranging in medicine from ayahuasca to San Pedro to psilocybin to 5-MeO-DMT, I feel quite comfortable calling my time with Jahmaya both prior to and during my weeklong cannabis/ketamine intensive arguably my most healing. And while I wholeheartedly revere the power of the medicines, I attribute a profound degree of the healing directly to Jahmaya. I felt respectfully met where I was at mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically with open arms though compassionately encouraged to be present in moving forward now, right now. I felt safe and supported but still challenged, comfortable but never coasting. I look forward to continued work with Jahmaya, work which I foresee flourishing well into the future.” – Client
“Kristen was absolutely incredible to work with. She was so kind and gentle, offered and gave wonderful support during my journey.” – Client
“Attending the conscious cannabis circle was a profound, deep, beautiful, spiritual experience. I was surprised at how powerful and insightful it was. I truly want all of my friends to partake of this transformative adventure of the highest kind.” –Brigitte Mars, participant, brigittemars.com
“Medicinal Mindfulness and the whole MM crew are outstanding. The program is one of a kind (literally) and gave me the needed knowledge base and experiential wisdom and confidence that can only be acquired through this method of learning. Thank you to Daniel and the whole MM team!” -JL
“For me the support and container of safety and wisdom, combined with a mindful approach to sacred plant medicine is a vehicle of growth and inner transformation, and an ever growing personal awareness of my connection and place.” -MM Participant & Student
“Everyone I have met through the medicinal mindfulness events are warm, loving, and unique people that are a joy to interact with. The events themselves, always have a profound effect, yet, are very tranquil for me. It’s very obvious Daniel takes pride in using different music to create an experience. And really has a knack for reading the energy of each session. I have come to look forward to each event and hope to see many more in the future.” -MM Student and Participant
“We met back in September and you gave me some great guidance and counseling around starting to incorporate the use of cannabis instead of the psychotropic medicines I had been taking for quite some time. I am happy to report that I am completely off the antidepressant I was taking for many years and have been using cannabis in a very low dose controlled and intentional way for the past eight months. It is a great medicine, and has really changed me for the better.” -Anonymous.
“It is rare to find such a distinguished group, truly committed to its core values and enthusiastic to share, and enthusiastic to share its practices and grow with those willing to participate, share, and learn. I look forward to continuing my exciting and transformative journey with medicinal mindfulness, a unique, and forward thinking group of trained practitioners who consistently push the envelope and watch it bend.” -MM Event Participant

set, setting & skill
Most in the psychedelic community know the concept of “set and setting,” which refers to having the right mindset and the right setting in which to take psychedelic journeys. But what’s missing from this equation, in our estimation, is skill. Journeyers are often not taught how to navigate these experiences, so they are at the mercy of the medicine.
At The Center for Medicinal Mindfulness, we teach people how to work with the medicine: to breathe, to focus, to stay present during difficult experiences, to surrender when that’s what’s called for, to engage with the spirit of the plant, and to manifest and integrate after the journey. With these skills, healing happens faster and more effectively.

What is psychedelic integration and why does it matter?
What is psychedelic integration and why does it matter? Psychedelic, as you may know, comes from the Greek psyche (life; spirit; soul; self, akin to psychein which means to breathe) and delic (to make manifest, to reveal and make visible). Thus psychedelics manifest...
