Andie Young BS 

Andie Young is the Psychedelic Program Manager for the Center for Medicinal Mindfulness and the Student Advocate for Psychedelic Sitters School. Andie brings a unique perspective to the Center for Medicinal Mindfulness with their professional experience in commercial organic livestock production. Andie’s own story is one of resilience, perseverance, and transformation and their relationship with psychedelics and years working with animals and farming in regenerative practices inform their own connection to life and belief in our ability to regrow and heal. 

Andie earned a Bachelors of Science in Biology in 2005 and has extensive experience in the critical care industry both in veterinary and human medicine and holds advanced training in Mindfulness-Based Psychedelic Therapy through Psychedelic Sitters School with The Center for Medicinal Mindfulness 2017- present. Andie has a diversified experience working with Cannabis, and has  worked as the Medical Cannabis Ombudsman at Holos Health advocating for patients and helping families and individuals secure medical cannabis licenses throughout the state of Colorado. Most recently Andie managed a 500 acre certified organic farm raising heritage organic livestock.  

Having personally experienced the profound benefits of psychedelic therapy, Andie believes that now more than ever Mindfulness-Based Psychedelic Therapy is exactly what is needed in this time of individual and collective trauma. This is our opportunity to change our minds, one psychedelic journey at a time. In their role at the Center for Medicinal Mindfulness, Andie is proud to support students on their journeys to be professional psychedelic guides.

Andie lives in the mountains west of Boulder with their partner and they are expecting their first child Summer of 2021. They enjoy whole animal butchery, sausage making the fermentation of meat in the charcuterie, as well as  participating in regenerative biodynamic agriculture. And they really believe all of these things are intricately connected and part of our collective liberation.
