Psychedelic Guide
(She/Her)

Mary Duckstein has always been drawn to the transformative potential of psychedelic medicines and feels honored to be of service to those who are considering psychedelics as a course of healing.

Mary practices as a credentialed Psychedelic Guide with our clinic and provides services for clients under the clinical oversight of Alison McQueen, LPC, ATR-BC, ACS and under the medical oversight of Dr. Alyse Power, MD. Mary is a member in good standing of the Medicinal Mindfulness Foundation non-profit organization.  Mary has been a mindfulness practitioner since 2016 when she began participating and holding space in breathwork journeys through the White Raven Center in Anchorage, Alaska. After cultivating an appreciation for the transformational power of these experiences through years of her own personal growth, Mary then completed the Mastering Awareness training through White Raven Center as well as coursework from the Grof Transpersonal Training Institute.  Through the Center for Medicinal Mindfulness, Mary has completed advanced training and credentialing in Mindfulness-Based Psychedelic Guiding and Psilocybin Support Services, as well as specialized training in somatic trauma resolution through Cannabis-Assisted Somatic Psychotherapy coursework. She has also received Wilderness First Aid Training from Wilderness Medical Associates International, which includes CPR certification and crisis intervention. Mary has been apprenticing with the Center for Medicinal Mindfulness since 2020, assisting in many group journeys and individual psilocybin sessions accumulating 300+ hours of co-facilitation with the licensed therapists and guides at Medicinal Mindfulness, in addition to her long history of personal work with psychedelic cannabis and psilocybin mushrooms.

Mary identifies as a cis white member of the LGBTQIA+ community and considers herself an ally to the BIPOC and all other marginalized communities. She recognizes her place of privilege and hopes to lift the voices of those not heard.

Mary enjoys being with nature and is often hiking, biking, getting on/in water, camping, or just sitting and listening to the birds. She also greatly values the time spent with loved ones and is often going on adventures with her wife, Alyse. She loves experiencing live music of many genres and dancing in community.

Spiritual Statement

I am grateful for the opportunity to be a small part of the larger collective healing process that this world needs.

I have developed a relationship with these sacred medicines over many years of doing my own work and exploration with them and hold a deep respect for the spirit of these medicines and the unique wisdom each holds. I also believe that we all have an inner wisdom that is our most authentic self, and truly enjoy supporting people in connecting with themselves in this way.

As someone who has a long relationship with using the breath to connect with the body and suppressed emotions stored within, I consider myself breathwork and somatically oriented and use my experience and skill in these areas to guide you deeper into your journey. I cultivate a grounded presence to support turning towards whatever is most present in your experience, whether that’s bliss or difficult feelings.

I take a trauma informed approach in providing detailed care to engage in ceremony and ritual to build a safe container to explore our inner worlds. I will meet you where you are and bring in any ritual/language that is congruent with your belief system.
