YOU’VE HAD A PROFOUND EXPERIENCE, NOW WHAT?
Psychedelic experiences often provide insights, realizations, and various sensations that can alter our perception and understanding of ourselves and the world we live in.
Psychedelic integration is the process of meeting these experiences with deep curiosity so we can identify lessons that can be incorporated into our everyday life.
The proof of a profound experience comes not only in the direct psychedelic experience, but in the implementation of this experience into our day to day lives.
WHAT IS THE MISSION OF THE PSYCHEDELIC INTEGRATION CIRCLE OF BOULDER?
Psychedelic Integration Circles are intended to be safe, supportive, and non-judgmental spaces for individuals to explore and process their psychedelic experiences. Through the power of curiosity, discussion, and group reflection, we hope to deepen the lessons learned through psychedelic medicine work.
IS THIS A THERAPY GROUP?
While the circle is led by a licensed clinician, this is not a therapy group. The Psychedelic Integration Circle is a social support group and is not aimed at treatment of disorders or mental health struggles. Rather, this group is to support individuals in integrating and understanding psychedelic experiences.
WHAT IS THE FORMAT FOR AN INTEGRATION CIRCLE?
The circle will begin with a mindfulness practice, followed by check-in’s, and an open discussion portion. The circle will end with a gratitude practice. Topics include but are not limited to: preparation, ritual and ceremony, experience analysis, interpersonal reflection and feedback.
We ask that all members arrive on time. There is a $25-$50 suggested donation for participation in the circle. No members will be turned away due to lack of funds; however, we rely on donations to ensure the circle can run effectively.
CIRCLE NORMS AND AGREEMENTS
1. We agree to arrive on time and respect the circle by adhering to circle norms.
2. We agree to share talking time and be mindful of the impact of our speech.
3. We agree to use curiosity, open questions, and exploration versus advice giving.
4. We agree to be mindful of not outing names or groups that facilitate psychedelic use.
5. We agree to maintain confidentiality of all that is shared during the circle.
6. We agree to practice openness and compassion towards all that is shared in circle.
7. We agree to focus on the topic of psychedelic integration as the basis for our circle.
Psychedelic Integration Circle of Boulder
Working with psychedelic medicines will often inspire peak experiences, powerful insights, and deep revelations that can fundamentally change our perception of ourselves and the world around us. But how do we unpack and incorporate these experiences in a way that is both meaningful and sustainable for long-term change and benefit? The Psychedelic Integration Circle of Boulder is an offering from Medicinal Mindfulness to help explorers deepen their medicine work by focusing attention on post-experience processing. Facilitated by Daniel McQueen, this group aims at building a supportive and safe space for individuals to deepen their integration through discussion, open process, and interpersonal reflection with like-minded and non-judgmental explorers.
